“Faith is a thing of the mind. If you do not believe that God is in control and has formed you for a purpose, then you will flounder on the high seas of purposelessness, drowning in the currents and drifting further into nothingness.”
― Ravi Zacharias, The Grand Weaver: How God Shapes Us Through the Events of Our Lives
Dear Ravi,
As I started yesterday, I want to continue celebrating you for your labour in Christianity that has massively impacted the lives of many people including me. Today, I want to stay on your legacy of investing in people. Indeed, they are too many to be counted.
Around 2017 thereabout, I discovered RZIM Academy even though I had been listening to your messages online before then. I signed up for the Core Course and then subsequently gained scholarship to do about five more courses on Faith Seeking Understanding (Doctrine), Why Suffering?, Bible Elective, What Does It Mean To Be Human, Islam, amongst others. These courses have greatly deepen my understanding of the Christian faith. I have had opportunity to interact with classmates from around the world and also I have had the chance to be instructed by people like Os Guinness, Abdu Murray, Michael Ramsden, Vince Vitale, John Lennox, John M. Njoroge and many more. You have an amazing team!

Ravi, aside the Academy, I have benefited from programmes such as Ask Away and Let My People Think. I enjoy reading Just Thinking magazine too. You have truly been a person who believes in the destiny of other people. You believe in teaching the next generation and preparing us for the journey ahead armed with the right biblical truths.
I have learnt from you that we should build structures to invest in the next generation coming after us. Just imagine if you and your team had not think generationally but only focused on making you a ‘one man champion’, by now, the whole RZIM organization will start crumpling down. Like Moses, you built the right structures to invest in people around the world.
I want to say THANK YOU for showing us that investing in people is the right thing to do. May God bless you and RZIM.

Footnote: Ravi Zacharias is a Christian Apologist who is currently battling cancer in the hospital. Remember him in your prayers that the will of God will be done.
