What you say birth inspiration or desperation.
You’ve heard it severally said that talk is cheap. I disagree! Talk is not cheap. Talk is very costly. I say it’s rather easy to talk.
Talk is speech. Cheap means costing relatively low. Combining the two, it means making a speech which will not cost you anything.
Come to think of it, how many times have you said something actively or passively which did not cost you to account for it? Whether in the marketplace, political circle, home, or church, everyone somehow pays the price for what you say. Let’s consider three instances where talk is not cheap:
1. Spiritual: The ancient wise leader Solomon said in Proverbs 18:21 that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Solomon confirms how expensive your speech is. What you say birth inspiration or desperation.
2. Politics: Politicians are reelected on the base of what they fulfill in their promises. In Ghana, the incumbent NDC party is being judged by how many of the promises they’ve made good.
3. Business: The cardinal code is your word is your bond. People will take you on by what you say. Customers take service providers on by the need they promise to satisfy.
It is easy to make a speech but very difficult to make good your promises. According to preacher man, apostle of wisdom, and author of over 200 books Dr. Mike Murdock, your words are seeds you sowwhich you will harvest as you go on in life. Talk is not cheap at all. It is expensive!
